The Brisbane Racing Club
The Brisbane Racing Club was established because two racing clubs decided to merge together to form one club. Those clubs were the Brisbane Turf Club and the Queensland Turf Club. This was the first time two clubs joined together to form one horse-racing club and their dedication to the sport resulted to Queensland becoming the leader of the horse-racing industry. Ever since the Brisbane Racing Club was founded this club has been in charge of managing and monitoring all the races being held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse.
